Tour overview

Tour overview

Full-day private boat trip from Hvar to Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) and Bol on Brac, via Hvar's north-coast coves and back through the Pakleni Islands.

Your skipper takes you round the western tip of Hvar to Bruske Vale, the coves below the village of Brusje, for a first swim, then across the channel to Brac for another off Murvica. Zlatni Rat, the pebble spit about 2 km west of Bol, comes next, then time on land in Bol for lunch. On the way home the route runs back round Hvar into the Pakleni Islands for swims at Palmizana and Zdrilca. The order of the stops is decided on the morning: the wind in the channel between Hvar and Brac decides which coves are calm.

Daily itinerary

See exactly where your day goes.

Times are approximate and the route is the route. Your skipper reads the sea and the weather on the day, and there is usually room to agree a longer stop or a nearby swap with them on board.

  1. Start

    Hvar waterfront boat harbour

Meet your skipper at the Hvar waterfront boat harbour (near Janka Zazjala 18). Safety briefing, bottled water and ice-box loaded, then west round the tip of Hvar to its north coast.

  2. 1
    20 min

    Bruske Vale

First swim in the coves below the village of Brusje on Hvar's north coast: small shingle bays under green slopes, before the crossing to Brac.

  3. 2
    45 min

    Murvica

A swim off Murvica, a small village on the south coast of Brac about 5 km west of Bol, below the slopes of Vidova Gora and away from the busier beaches around Bol.

  4. 3
    75 min

    Zlatni Rat

Zlatni Rat, the Golden Horn: a spit of fine pebbles about 2 km west of Bol whose tip shifts with the wind and the current. Which side of the spit you swim from depends on the wind that day.

  5. 4
    90 min

    Bol

Time on land in Bol, the harbour town of Brac's south coast: stone lanes, the waterfront and restaurants for lunch, which is not included.

  6. 5
    75 min

    Palmizana

Back across the channel and round the western tip of Hvar into the Pakleni Islands. Palmizana on Sveti Klement is the best-known bay of the archipelago, with a pine-shaded beach and the Meneghello family's botanical garden.

  7. 6
    30 min

    Zdrilca

Last swim at Zdrilca, a pebble beach on the north-west side of Marinkovac in the Pakleni Islands, facing the islet of Planikovac across a narrow passage.

  8. End

    Hvar waterfront boat harbour

Short run back to the Hvar waterfront boat harbour.

Weather & sea

When the sea has other plans

The Adriatic sets the pace. If wind or swell makes a stretch unsafe or uncomfortable, your skipper reshapes the day on the spot: sheltered coves in place of open crossings, or a new order of stops. If conditions rule out sailing altogether, you rebook for another day; if none suits you, everything you paid is refunded.

    • You can cancel at any time. More than 10 days before departure, everything you paid online is refunded, less the card processing fee.
    • Within 10 days, nothing is refunded.
    • If a tour truly cannot run, for example in unsafe weather or if the boat is out of service, your skipper first arranges a new date; if none suits you, everything you paid is refunded.
